There's no way the bushing is 'semi-defective'. They are perfectly round and a very tight, precise fit. They have to be to work right. I had to do some shaping on my subframe loops because I dinged one while I was trying to remove the OEM bushings. I think the instructions say something along the lines of you'll have to do a bit of hammer work if the loops are even slightly imperfect in shape.
Other then that, are you doing the rest of the subframe bushings? I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results. I know Mal1ce & I burnt off a chunk of my rear tiers terrorising the nearby industrial area with wheelspin minus the hop. ;-)
